Courses for Year 3 A/F

Well, sorry for the late post, almost forgot about it.

For now, all year 3 student can take their subject as normal, nothing will effect. Advanced Management Accounting, will be our core next year. So don't worry about it and proceed what you all have been doing.

MS 4235 - Advanced Corporate Reporting - New updates regarding lecture time

There will only be one class and tutorial each week, which is on “Tuesday”, 10am-12pm, starting from now.

As for Thursday, it is now for a) consultation, and/or b) back-up (act as a replacement class in case there’s no class on Tuesday like meeting or holiday).

P.S There are 4 votes for having mid-term test after mid-sem break. Since it is on majority vote, if they’re about 18-19 people choose having mid-term test after mid-sem break, then we’ll have our mid-term test after mid-sem break, and the other way round.:P

MS 3254 - Corporate Law Wednesday Lecture

It will be held at Chancellor Hall Basement.

The room is undecided. According to the lecturer, we just enter any empty room. Cheers :)

Wednesday Meeting with Mr.Lim

Alright I confirm with the FBEPS admin Clerk. Not everyone is to attend the meeting.

There's only 12 student sign up for the course and they will be meeting with Mr.Lim

I'm not sure which 12. But overall is this two group

URGENT

MS 4236 - Advanced Management Accounting

We are to have a meeting with Mr.Lim Kok Shien regarding this course. It is known to be a CORE in this semester. But none of us has gone to the class.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday in one of the FBEPS board room. The Venue or location of the room has not been determined yet. We will let everyone know as soon as we confirm the place!

MS 4235 - Advanced Corporate Reporting

Regarding the Mid-term test, Sir haven't confirm the chapters that'll be cover in the test with me yet. The fastest for Sir to inform about the chapters will be early February(hopefully).

The mid-term test will be on either before mid-term break or after mid-term break.

So for the time being, for those who had already had a decision, please tell me about it. Majority vote will be the winner. :)

MS 3318 - Auditing : Replacement Class

Assalamualaikum, Hi all,

I am here to inform that our replacement class will be on

Day/Date: WEDNESDAY, 26th January 2011
Time : 12pm - 2 pm
Venue : FBEPS G.10

It is back to the original slot mentioned earlier.. The reason for this is because,

• I have just been informed that some might not be able to make on that day, and its a handful lot.
• Majority wins
• We are able to secure the class (FBEPS G.10) on Wednesday.. Monday is fully booked by other classes

Another thing to inform is that, we are NOT able to change the lecture time permanently, as some have already sacrificing the clashes with other classes, just to attend the replacement class.. It would be unfair to the others if we were to make it on a permanent basis, reason being, that we are from different programs..

Finally, we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused.. We hope for your cooperation for the module to run as smoothly as possible.. Thank you..

The venue will be at room 2, Basement chancellor Hall. No tutorial for tomorrow.

For those who haven’t give me your grouplist, please give me your grouplist either by “Tuesday” or just post your group’s name “in the comment” anytime b4 tuesday. (wanna complete this as soon as possible for everyone’s convenience.) :)

For the mid-term test, I’ll ask Sir Azrin about the topics before deciding whether to take it before or after semester break on Tuesday. :)

According to Sir Azrin, we can use chancellor basement room 2 for Tuesday and room 6 for Thursday. We’ll be using lms, but Sir still waiting ict to provide a classlist.

Important announcement: During the lecture, an attendance sheet was passed around, but unfortunately, some haven't wrote their names on the list yet.. MS 4401 - Banking and Invesment

First and Foremost,

All that I know is that,

1) We will need to do a presentation (In a group, 4 Member? - Not sure yet regrading the number of member)

2) The lecturer will be teaching mostly Investment then only will be back to Banking.

3) The book is 'Investment' by Bodie, Kane & Marcus

4) We will have to get another book for Banking, but he had yet decided on which.

5) If you are interested in getting the book, please let him know, and he will contact the book seller.

6) As for now, he will be providing the photocopy chapters.

7) He created a G-mail a/c for sending in the slides. Username and Password is already given to us all during the lecture.

8) Tutorial slot are still to be determined. For now the proposed time is on

Wednesday: 11.00am to 1.00pm (One hour each - two tutorial slot)

9) Venue of the tutorial is still unsure.

If there's anything missing do let me know :)
I will informing you all about the lecture.

First of all, welcome back.:P

Back to business,

1. time for lecture and tutorial:

Lecture time: Tuesday 10-11am(1hr), and Thursday 2-3pm(1hr).

Tutorial time: Tuesday 11am-12pm(1hr).

2. Location: Waiting for admins reply for basement room booking. Will post again once got reply from admin.

3. Tutorial start week 3. No thursday class this week.

4. 5 people per group, total of 7 group. Please give me group list for your group member. The sooner the better.

5. Please decide whether to have our mid-term test before or after mid-semester break. The sooner the better. Before mid-semester break should be around 21/2/2011-26/2/2011, basically the end of february. After mid-sem break should be on the second week of March.
